Andrew Regan, aged 43, joined the Board as Chief Executive of Corvus Capital Inc in September 2004. Over the following year he took the company to record profits of £22.1 million. Andrew sold his original business to Hobson plc in 1991 where he became Chief Executive and largest individual share holder of Hobson which was listed on the LSE. In 1994 Hobson plc acquired the Co-operative Wholesale Society’s food and drinks manufacturing operations and in 1996 the enlarged Hobson business was sold to Hillsdown Holdings plc for a cash consideration of £154 million. The Hobson business at the time of its sale had revenues of £400 million and 2,500 employees.
Andrew was also the architect and lead investor in a fully funded approach in 1997, which subsequently lapsed, to gain control of the CWS in a £1.2 billion take-over bid. Since then he has been involved with a number of new investments which have created over $600 million of value for him and his co-investors over the last ten years. In addition, he and his team have raised finance for a number of mid-cap and larger potential strategic investments designed to release larger levels of value which were not eventually executed.
Andrew Regan is based in Geneva.
