Higher metals prices have stocks' values jumping. Large cap miners such as Vedanta and Antofagasta are up in line with industrial metals such as copper and aluminium.
Precious metals prices also rose, helping to send the likes of Central Rand Gold and Aquarius Platinum higher.
Defensive stocks such as firms, and companies are out of favour heading into the weekend. National Grid, AstraZeneca and British American Tobacco are unwanted.
