Adrian Collins appointed Chairman
The Board of Corvus (AIM:CVS.L), the international investment company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Collins as Non-Executive Chairman with current Chairman Graham Porter becoming Deputy Non-Executive Chairman, in each case with immediate effect.
Adrian Collins (53) was, until recently, a Director of Strand Partners Limited, a leading London-based corporate finance advisory firm and has worked in the fund management sector for over thirty years, a large part of which was spent at Gartmore Investment Management, where latterly he was Managing Director. Adrian was one of the founders of Trustnet.com, a leading provider of Fund performance information on the Internet.
He is currently on the board of a number of public and private companies in the United Kingdom and overseas.
These include New City High Yield Trust plc, Hiscox Investment Management Limited and City Natural Resources High Yield Trust plc. Adrian’s experience in reviewing business structures will be of great benefit to the board of Corvus as it continues to develop its strategy.
Further board changes include those of Simon Fry and Richard Griffiths.
Simon Fry resigns as Non-Executive Director and the Board would like to thank Simon for his contribution to the Company since becoming a director in 2004 and wish him well with the continued success at Crosby Capital Inc, the international investment adviser where he is Chief Executive. Richard Griffiths resigns as Executive Director to focus on his role at AIM-listed Bidtimes plc.
Commenting on the changes, Andrew Regan, Chief Executive of Corvus, said: “Adrian brings a wealth of experience to the Board having held a number of senior posts in the investment arena. I would like to thank Simon and Richard for their contribution to the Company, particularly since both have been on the board from the early stages of the development of Corvus. Richard will focus his energy into Bidtimes and we look forward to working with him and Bidtimes to provide mutual benefits where opportunities arise.”
